This research aimed to describe the strategies of teaching speaking in class VIII at one state junior high school Jombang and find out EFL teacher’s reasons use Jombang. is qualitative form case study. The data were collected from observation, documentation, interview with an teacher twelve students three classes results indicate that applies several VIII. conversation direct-practice strategy asking attention, complimenting/appreciating, giving opinion, using questioning check understanding checking degrees comparison, presentation notice material, brainstorming announcement demonstration comparison material. There are applying improve students’ skill ability.
